Botox and Dysport are used to eliminate lines and wrinkles on the face. In addition, these products can also be used to reduce a “gummy smile.” A gummy smile is when you show too much gum above your upper teeth when you smile. These are simple and safe procedures that take only a few minutes in the doctor’s office, but results in a significant improvement.
Botox and Dysport are used to treat a number of cosmetic problems. These include: frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines, crowsfeet, lip lines, “bunny lines” on the nose, depressions at the corners of the mouth and chin lines. They can also be used to lift the eyebrows and make the eyes appear rounder and more open.
Treat “Gummy Smiles”
Some people, when they smile, show a lot of gum above their upper teeth. This may make them feel self-conscious. Botox and Dysport can be used to minimize this appearance. A couple of quick injections will do the trick.
Treatments are safe
Botox and Dysport treatments are safe. As yet, no allergy has been reported to these products. Side effects are infrequent and temporary. These treatments are quick and there is minimal, if any, discomfort. Make-up can be applied and normal activity can be resumed immediately.
Dysport is very similar to Botox. However, studies show that Dysport may take effect more quickly than Botox, and may last longer than Botox.
